Beautiful evening

Just one of those days after a long drive, feeling at ease on a Good Day.

Well remembered for 2011. My choice.

Watching this two movies again. I shall stop. It’s time. =P

There are men
There are women
There is warmth
There is hope
There is darkness
There is light
Without love, there’s nothing.

Crossing countries

picture taken 10th February 2012 7.43pm

Hello Kuala Lumpur! I’m so glad that I’m back and I have to say, this is the first time I go on a family vacation that I have to say ‘NO MORE NEXT TIME’. Next time, let’s go for a one country gateway or just two.

It was January 28th, the day we left KL to explore the beautiful sights and delicious food from other countries but hey hey, I’ve a confession to make, this time around it’s not as much fun as before. It’s a trip that I felt like I wasn’t in a trip at all because we went to too many places in a short amount of time. All that I can remembered was packing up my luggage and unpacking it and repeatedly doing the same thing as we travel from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok, Bangkok to Macao, Macao to Hong Kong and Hong Kong to China. As crazy as it sounds? It’s true! What’s more, who wants to hang out with a toilet bowl and bed during their holidays? *waves hands* I’m one of the victim! OMFG i tell u, it sucks, Big Time. Self note! Never to travel to hot and humid places then to cold ones you’re not up for it or shall I say was is the food that I had in one of those countries? hmm..now that’s a good question. *big sigh* (p/s I was sick half of the holidays but I did had much fun with my family)

Let me begin with my first destination Bangkok.

Bangkok International Airport

My family and I will come here every year to pray the four faced Brahma (Phra Phrom), it’s like our ritual and we have been going there to pray since young. It’s a city filled with good food, friendly people, beautiful clothes & accessories. A place where you can shop till you drop as their things are cheap and nice, eat like there’s no tomorrow as the food in Thailand is consider next best besides Malaysia and also a great place for massage. I am big fan of foot & body massage. An hour of massage a day cures all the sin in my body.Seriously! And thinking bout those flavors and fragrances of their Tom Yam Kung, Pak Boong and all the other varieties of delicious seafood they have there and my favorite freshly blended mandarin orange juice, so Hooray Bangkok I’m so happy to be back again but guess what, on the second night after walking the night streets of Siam, I spent the rest of my Bangkok trip mostly inside my hotel room. (eh-hem actually half of the time inside the bathroom) *not happy face* because I got food poisoning and the story ends for my Bangkok Trip. Nothing much, didn’t get to really go out for long and I celebrated my birthday inside my room alone. No birthday cake for me to blow this year! Boohoo..Well it’s not that sad, I’ve received birthday ang pows and pressies from dearest family and I did take some nice pictures. =)
The hotel that we stayed in Bangkok : Palazzo Hotel

MBK ‘Mah Boon Krong’, my parent’s favorite place for the stewed pork rice which is at one of the stalls at the food court on the sixth floor. I went there to find casing for my grandparent’s phones but sadly they don’t have Samsung Nexus S Google case there.

Mouth watering barbecued tiger prawns at Kuang Seafood restaurant which is located at Soi 12 Ratchada.

Swensen’s Ice-cream in Platinum Mall. I only crave for chocolate =) It’s my best flavor!

Ratchada road Bangkok At night

A sick person in BangKok still got a good eye, I’ve been searching for my perfect shoes, a pair of shoes that I could dance in it, walk in it and Rock in it and it was love at first sight. I found her, My Baby Blue.

Next destination, Macao

The land for gamblers! *evil grin* What’s more do I have to say about Macao, The land where the all the beautiful casinos unite. I called it the Asian side of Las Vegas and it’s time to try our luck at the casinos here! Ho ho ho! Okay, I know I sound so like a gambler right now but hey it’s Chinese New Year and I’m not those that gamble everyday so gambling in another country, ‘it’s a MUST TRY right?’ As people always say ‘beginners luck, first time luck and other luck words’ I as a saint it’s okay to sin sometimes right? *big smile*

Grand Lisboa, here I come! It’s either you let me win all the money and go home with a big smile or I invest on your next upcoming project. Sadly, my luck wasn’t so good in Macao. No win no lose *sigh* Luckily my brother Marcus, my dearest one, he’s got the luck and at the end of the Macao trip everyone is happy because my brother give ang pows to all of us. *big smile*

This sculpture which is located around the street near Grand Lisboa. I was amazed by it, I was standing there with a feeling like I’m Keanu Reeves in the movie ‘Matrix’ . I’m not sure why but this thing here reminds me of that movie. Here’s the trailer of the movie and see if you feel the same too. =)

By the way, Macao isn’t just about the gambling, they have so many beautiful scenery here too, all the buildings, sculptures and artworks here amazed me and just so you know, most hotels and buildings here have high end stores in it. You get to see Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and all the exclusive brands everywhere here in this city and the good thing about this place, a lot of shops and restaurants are opened 24 hours. If I’m not mistaken this is what the business entrepreneurs thinks here, ‘What if someone wins a lot of money and drop by at my place to shop or eat? Got business sure do right?” *happy smile*
See I knew it. If I’m them, I would do so too!

Next up, Hong Kong!

picture taken from my hotel room. I stayed at BP international.

I still remembered that song that I used to hear inside those Chinese New Year Hong Kong movies,
Kowloon Hong Kong
We like Hong Kong
That’s the place for you
Walking down the street full of joy
Come here come here richshaw boy
Take me down the street Chop Chop Chop
A Habba Habba Joe Ding How Ding How
Kowloon Kowloon Hong Kong
We Like Hong Kong
That’s the place for you

Crowded street of Mong Kok, Kowloon Hong Kong

Hong Kong is a city filled with life, the people here gives me the impression of those living in the states. The people here are all filled with hopes and dreams of becoming a somebody and always never giving up! Everytime when I stepped inside Hong Kong I felt alive! Having a confidence of doing anything and wanting to succeed. I kept thinking, what if I lived in Hong Kong, I think I’ll be a star by now. *just kidding* Here’s one Hong Kong moment that caught my eye.

That night when I was walking with my brother Marcus to the California Pizza Kitchen restaurant for our dinner in the streets of Mong Kok, from far, I heard someone singing and I’m like ‘Wow, that’s a beautiful voice, I wonder who’s the man that’s singing that lovely song’ and when I walked towards the crowd, it was a bunch of elderly people performing in the streets. I was amazed. Here’s the video of the uncle with the amazing voice and you can try and spot this one elderly man dancing with his hands behind the uncle which I think is so cute. In the streets of Mong Kok, not only will you see people singing but they even have young kids break dancing as well.

I looked at this picture for a while and the sudden thought of William Shakespeare quote from the play Hamlet
‘ My beloved when I first saw you, you said you did not believe me. I must admit that winning you over and making you believe is the most delightful and fulfilling challenge I have faced in my life. As Shakespeare said “Doubt thou the stars are fire : Doubt that the sun doth move : Doubt truth to be a liar : But never doubt I love.” My love for you will always be true : I promise you that. I am yours forever.
Awww…it feels just so right for this picture.

Last picture of Hong Kong, seriously, Soap,Hair Shampoo&Condioniter and shower gel all in one? How cool is that!

Finally, the last destination before we head back to Kuala Lumpur, my second home Dongguan China.

China is a country that I truly respect. People in China are all very hardworking and they could work 24/7 just so that they could earn more money for a living. I know we’ve heard a lot of corruption and cheating here about people in China, also the lack of freedom and how hard they work just to survive and with news that we see on newspapers saying negatives about China, not having enough sleeps or food and died because of working. Well some of those cases are true but they sort of exaggerate it a little bit too over? China is a country with the world most population. And with a country that is filled with so many people, of course people will fight to survive which is why they are so hardworking. If you don’t fight for it nobody is gonna care about you. And as the population is so big, with or without you it doesn’t matter. The strong one remains. And this is what I respect about China people.

My dad have been working in China for ten years and in this place and I have learn so much from him on how to survive on your own. I still remembered all those times when I worked in China, it’s all about yourself and what you’re capable of because everyone in China is busy so if you think about asking for help, you can forget about that word because no one will help you here. It’s either you can do it or you can’t. And here is where I learn to become a fighter. With that I have another confession to make, ‘I’m sorry to my HeartNSoul customers that I haven’t been doing so well with the online business and there isn’t any update yet. I started doing online business last year when I was left with nothing after losing a big client, I didn’t have the profit to do things on my own and I’m lucky enough to have some backups. I mention this before in one of my previous blog entries about losing it all and how to make myself happy. True facts is, I’m still not that happy right now because I’m still not capable of doing a business on my own. I’m still figuring a way to improve myself and to manage myself which is why I still haven’t post anything up. And just so you know, HeartNSoul is actually a part-time job that I’m giving myself a try, I do sincerely apologize for my lack of service because I didn’t know that I actually have so many customers and I am just doing everything by myself that I just somehow keep missing out this and that and at times I just mess everything up. I truly am sorry.

That place which I wish to go someday.

Have you ever seen a moon on the floor tiles, I did. Now make a wish ‘ It might come true =) ‘

This is the place where the party starts. Just call out for ‘Ma Lai’ and everyone knows who’s that fella. My brother. He’s the vip of this place. *big smile* It’s one of the best clubs in town.

The russian borsch soup *one that I always order everytime when I stepped foot in Dongguan because it taste so good! and the mushroom spaghetti* from Cafe Blue Bird which is located beside the hotel that we stayed in. ‘Hotel Forla’

One of Dongguan’s highlight barbecued Garlic&Chili oysters

And here it ends. My first time writing so much about a vacation. Hope you guys enjoy reading it.

Oh and before I end my post, I have a secret to share, all this pictures and videos that I’ve put here, it’s all taken from my precious ‘i’ which is my iPhone4 and it’s mostly original because I don’t really know how to photoshop and all (p/s it’s not that I don’t want to but I’m just never good with computers and technology kinda thing). I don’t own a good camera but hey you know what, Precious ‘i’ can actually gives you everything. *big smile* And this year, I bought myself a birthday present, just for my precious ‘i’

And I’m happy to say that I found the casings for my dearest grandparents phones when I got back to Kuala Lumpur in Tesco Supermarket Ampang. They were so happy with it. Grey for Grandpa and Blue for Grandma =)

Beautiful Mess

My friend send me a link the other day just a note saying have a good weekend, and it’s one of my favorite song from Jason Mraz : Beautiful Mess. A beautiful song, the lyrics is well written and his powerful voice. I’m a big fan of Jason Mraz! =) Enjoy the song.

Grandma called me earlier today, asking why I didn’t go visit her, I told her my bones aching due to our girl’s monthly thing. And I told her I was so smart to have drank that cup of ginseng my mum boiled the day before I knew my ‘red attack’ is gonna come. Of course I didn’t know my ‘red-attack’ is coming or else I wouldn’t have been drinking it right? So yea, this weekend all I did was sit at home with a major back bone pain and the big attack of menses pain on the first two days.

Oh kay, sorry with the whole woman story right there, the main thing I wanna write about today was actually about the ‘Unexpected’ . After listening to that phone call of grandma’s , I felt guilty for not visiting her today, so after showering I went over to visit her. And when I was just about to greet her with a ‘Hi’ as the maid opens the door, I hear noises coming from my grandparents house. They were changing the water filter in the house, and somehow, they broke the head of water filter tube of the old one when they are trying to take it out and now everyone is lost. Grandpa was holding the screwdriver wanting to remove the whole casing, aunt was calling the technician asking how to pull that thing out and everyone in the house is making noise how to fix that water filter. I walked in, I told my cousin and maid let me have a look, I said ‘ Oh it’s just that the head is stuck with the casing, give me a spanner, i’ll help you take it out. My grandma was looking at me and saying ‘ are you sure you can?’ I said ‘ grandma ‘trust me, I can do it ‘ and yes I did. I helped my grandparents fix the water filter. I even have to use a saw and cut few inches of the head of the new water filter because it’s too long and it can’t fix into the casing. And moments later, Voila! everything done! As I walked out of the house, grandpa was lying in the sofa, I said ‘ Grandpa I’m gonna go now, see you again next day ya’ He’s said ‘ eh, you make finish the thing d? ‘ * big smile in his face * and both my grandparents and my aunt said thanks to me they don’t have to find a technician.

So this is my Sunday, and seriously, I’m not technician because my own bathroom the toilet pump, it’s not working since few days ago, I just tried fixing it, but sadly I brought the wrong pump. So tomorrow I’m gonna change a new pump. I’m just a girl who think if there are certain things you can do it on your own, why waste money to ask people come fix it.

Happy Sunday people =)

Loved it when it’s sweet
